Michael is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and the Chief Executive Officer of The Compass Center. Michael has been a BCBA since 2015 and also holds teacher certifications for grades K-6 and students with disabilities as well as an International Behavior Analyst (IBA). His professional experiences range from children to adults. Michael has also served as a Subject Matter Expert for the BACB. His special interests include assessment and treatment of severe challenging behavior, developing systems, and skill acquisition programming. Michael also presents on various professional development topics and is available for in-person or virtual workshops or conferences.
Cynthia is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and the Chief Operating Officer for The Compass Center. Cynthia has been a BCBA since 2017. Cynthia is bilingual and has a variety of professional experiences as a BCBA ranging from pediatrics to adult services. Cynthia also provides independent program evaluations, IEP reviews, special needs advocacy and technical support to families. Additionally, Cynthia is the Assistant Executive Director of a local Non-Profit as well as the Co-Chair of their Behavior Management Commitee. Cynthia also presents on various professional development topics and is available for in- person or virtual workshops or conferences.
Beth is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and is the Senior Consultant at The Compass Center. Beth has been a BCBA since 2020. Beth is fluent in American Sign Language and a has significant amount of experience working in adult services as well as providing school consultation. Prior to working in the field of ABA Beth worked in the field of veterinary medicine. Her special interest areas include experimental analysis with animals, behavioral pharmacology, and behavioral gerontology, specifically working with those with dementia. Beth is also an approved BACB supervisor for RBTs and candidates pursuing advanced certification in the field of applied behavior analysis.
Tracy is a dedicated professional with a lifelong commitment to supporting adults with disabilities. She earned her license as a Social Worker in 2010 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2014. Tracy's coupled social work and behavior analytic skillset brings a unique perspective to The Compass Center. Tracy is passionate about mental health advocacy, and teaching others coping and relaxation skills. She believes in the transformative power of celebrating small victories with positive reinforcement and shaping behavior. Tracy strives to make socially significant behavior changes, ones that are socially valid and improve the overall quality of life for those she serves.
Joe started working in the field of ABA in 2012 where he started out as a direct support staff working with adults in a group home setting and then on to be a behavior technician working with children and young adults providing ABA therapy. Joe graduated with his Masters in ABA in 2015 and became Certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2016. Joe is an approved BCBA supervisor and thoroughly enjoys providing supervision to RBT’s and those pursuing advanced certification. Joe is proficient in the fundamentals of ABA and loves teaching others and is passionate about the science of human behavior and how it can be used to impact every aspect of life.
“Dr. Cynthia” brings a broad background of social science to The Compass Center. A professor in anthropology and criminology, she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2020. As a parent, Dr. Cynthia has worked with advocates and local organizations to help parents and individuals with intellectual disabilities get the support and care they deserve. She understands that access to evidence-based treatment can change lives. Now, as a practicing clinician and approved BCBA supervisor, Dr. Cynthia works with all individuals, families, and direct support professionals to open doors for those with communication disorders and behavioral challenges.
Brianna has been in the field of ABA since 2017. Brianna assists the clinicians with providing staff support and provides comprehensive hands-on training for staff. Brianna has her bachelor's degree in psychology and is currently pursuing advanced certification coursework in the field of ABA. Brianna's professional experience ranges from children to adults across the autism spectrum. Brianna's special interest areas include, skill acquisition programming, behavioral skills training.
Megan is a dually certified Speech Language Pathologist and master's Level Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst and is currently working towards her full certification as a BCBA. Megan has a significant amount of experience working in the adult services field as well as working with students in school systems. In addition to being an SLP and a BCaBA, Megan has served in various capacities such as being the Director of Day Programs, Chair of a Human Rights Committee, and as a Subject Matter Expert for the BACB.
Lawrence began his journey in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2018 working in a school setting as a Teacher's Assistant for students on the spectrum. There he discovered his passion for teaching skills and helping others. He received his master's degree in 2021, his graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis in December 2022 from Arizona State University and became RBT certified in October 2023. Lawrence is currently a behavior specialist, receiving supervision towards advanced certification.
Servio Espinosa has been in the ABA field since 2016. Servio conducts various tasks for the clinical team which include collecting data during behavioral assessments, conduct staff trainings, and assisting the clinicians with specific activities related to the development of behavior support plans. Servio's special interest areas include skill acquisition programming, vocational and supported employment, and using behavioral coaching with athletes.
Adam von Pier has been a Registered Behavior Technician since 2022. In addition to performing general RBT responsibilities, Adam assists with various clinical tasks such collecting data during behavioral assessments and assisting in conducting staff trainings. He has a special interest in American Sign Language (ASL) and working with adults on the Autism Spectrum. Prior to working in the field of ABA, Adam was a professional stage manager and actor.
